Faculty Conversations
Throughout 2024, the Humanising Pedagogy Project conducted a series of meaningful dialogues with faculty members at Nelson Mandela University. Each conversation was facilitated by a respected faculty fellow, fostering collaborative and reflective discussions about humanising pedagogical approaches within their faculties. The Humanising Pedagogy Project played a central role in these discussions on the importance of inclusive and culturally responsive teaching in higher education. Emphasising the need to respect students’ cultural backgrounds, languages, and diverse perspectives, the focus was on overcoming the challenges of barriers and creating a more inclusive education system. The HP project aims to continue Faculty Conversations through 2025.
